Cretaceous Dakota Group outlier, Sacramento Mountains, Otero County, New Mexico

Abstract:

Approximately 44 m of Dakota Group disconformably overlie the Permian San Andres Formation in the Sacramento Mountains, Otero County, New Mexico. The uppermost Dakota Group strata here contain marine invertebrates and foraminifers of late Albian (Early Cretaceous) age.
