You must be an NMGS member to register for the conference.  Not sure if you are a current NMGS member? If you received an announcement for this meeting in the mail and the mailing label says ' 2018', then your membership is current. You can also check your membership status online.

Late Pliocene geothermal opal and calcite beds in axial-fluvial sediment of the Camp Rice Formation in the Rincon Hills (leader: Greg Mack).
Early Cenozoic igneous activity in the Organ Mountains at Dripping Springs (leaders: Frank Ramos, Brian Hampton, Bill Seager).
The Radium Springs Geothermal System and the Masson Geothermal Greenhouses (leader: Jim Witcher).

Food Preferences:

The registration fee includes the Ice Breaker, BBQ dinner, and banquet dinner, as well as daily lunches, snacks, and beverages. Participants are responsible for their own breakfasts.

Transportation:

For all three days, the conference will be traveling in passenger van caravans. The trip will start and end every day at the Ramada Palms Motel in Las Cruces.

T-shirts:

Custom NMGS T-shirts for 2018 will be available at the conference. You can reserve one (or more) before October 3, 2018 and pay for them at the conference. Only a limited number of shirts will be available for purchase without a pre-order.

Accomodations

Participants are responsible for making their own lodging reservations.

The conference organizers have reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada Palms Hotel in Las Cruces, 201 East University Avenue Las Cruces, New Mexico 88005, 575-526-4411. Remember to mention that you are attending the NMGS FFC to obtain reduced rates.

The New Mexico Geological Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and all donations are tax deductible.

Notes:

  • Registration is limited to the first 97 registrants. Your registration will be added to a waiting list in the order received if the registration limit has been reached (you will be notified regardless).
  • Our registration fees do not cover accommodations or breakfasts (all other meals are provided). However, accomodations often include breakfast, so inquire when you register.
  • Refunds are only possible if a request is received in writing by October 01, 2018.
  • If you have placed publications for purchase in your cart, they will not be included in this registration transaction. To complete payment for pending items, after you complete your registration, please click the 'View Cart' link at the top of any NMGS page (or click a 'buy now' link for an additional item). The separation of membership dues/conference registration from publication sales is necessary to keep the Societies' accounting more manageable.
