After completing this form, you will be asked for payment information on a secure server.Alternatively you may pre-register by phone and credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express only) by calling the registration chair (see above).
  • Online pre-registration will close at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 10.
  • Registration fees will increase after 8:00 AM on Thursday, April 11.
  • The student-professional mixer signup ends at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 4. The mixer is limited to 80 people.
  • While you can register the day of the meeting, we encourage everyone (including students) to pre-register to help us with our planning the meeting. If you are a student and register at the meeting, we require that you present a valid student ID and pay a $15.00 late registration fee..

You must either be an NMGS member or a vendor to attend the conference.  Not sure if you are a current member? If you received an announcement for this meeting in the mail and the mailing label says '19 ', then your membership is already current. Alternatively, you can check your membership status online or contact the registration chair prior to registering.

Proceedings Volume

We are attempting to save money and resources by providing the option to decline the Program With Abstracts booklet this year. As in prior years, the Program With Abstracts will also be posted online and available to the public prior to the meeting. If you choose not to receive the full printed program, you will receive a printed copy of the schedule of talks and poster presentations.


Student/Professional Mixer Luncheon at Macey Center Catered by Chartwells / New Mexico Tech Dining (only available with pre-registration). The goal of this mixer is to provide mentorship to students from professionals who are willing to offer career guidance to young geoscientists. Each person must register individually. The student-professional mixer signup ends at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 4. The mixer is limited to 80 people. If you prefer not to attend the mixer, you can either visit the NMT Student Union cafeteria or eat at any of a number of local restaurants.

The New Mexico Geological Society and NMGS Foundation are non-profit 501(c)(3) corporations and donations are tax deductible.

If you have placed publications for purchase in your cart, they will not be included in the meeting registration transaction.
To complete payment for pending items, after you complete your registration, please click the 'View Cart' link at the top of any NMGS page (or click a 'buy now' link for an additional item). The separation of membership dues/meeting registration from publication sales is necessary to keep the Societies' accounting more manageable.
